Fusion Surpasses One Million Subscriber Lines!
Goal for Initial Year Met Three Months Early
Fusion Communications Corporation began marketing telephone and Internet access services
on April 1, 2001, and since then the number of subscriber lines has steadily increased. On December, just
nine months after the start of services, the total number of subscriber lines surpassed the one million mark.
When it launched its services, Fusion set a goal of reaching one million subscriber
lines in the first year (by the end of March 2002), but thanks to the support of its many customers, Fusion
reached the 1 million mark on December 17, more than three months ahead of schedule.
Moreover, the percentage of those customers registered for MYLINE's out-of-prefecture
long-distance calling category that selected Fusion was 1.5% as of the end of October and rose to 1.7% at
the end of November. Even after the introduction of fees to modify registrations in November, the number
of customers who selected Fusion continued to grow.
In addition to telephone services, Fusion also offers a low-cost Internet access service
for 10 yen per three minutes including connection and access charges. As of November 25, customers subscribed
to a total of more than 100,000 lines.
Fusion is confident that its success in steadily increasing the number of subscriber
lines during its first year of operations is the result of the solid support of both customers and the media
for its simple and easy-to-understand telecommunications services. Fusion remains committed to providing
high-quality telecommunications services that will satisfy ever greater numbers of customers.
