Fusion Adds New Access Numbers and Number Portability to Toll-Free Phone Service "FUSION Free Voice"

Fusion Communications Corporation adds new services to its toll-free phone service "FUSION Free Voice" from February 1.

Up to now, Fusion's toll-free calls were only available to 0037-80-xxxx numbers, but the service is being expanded to also cover 0120-AAA-xxxx and 0800-AAA-xxxx numbers. The new service will allow calls to be received from mobile phones and PHS phones in addition to fixed line subscriber phones and pay phones.

The new service will be provided for a long-distance charge of 7 yen per minute regardless of distance, and because the service provider (Fusion) is allowed to set the charges for calls received from mobile phones, an area where demand is rising, it has set the industry's lowest charges.

Customers nationwide applying for FUSION Free Voice will benefit from reduced costs and simplified cost management, as there is no need to consider physical distance between the customer and the call center.

In addition, with Fusion's new service, customers who have been using toll-free phone service through a "0120" or "0800" number will be able to take advantage of number portability to use FUSION Free Voice without changing numbers. No special costs or complicated procedures associated with changing numbers are required. Customers simply apply for the FUSION Free Voice service and can continue using the same telephone number as before.
