Fusion Communications Corporation has formed a device partner alliance with Sumitomo Electric Networks,
Inc. for Fusion's IP subscriber telephone service, FUSION IP-Phone. Sumitomo Electric Networks' VoIP-enabled
broadband router, the MegaBit Gear TE4412V2, is now compatible with FUSION IP-Phone.
Through this partnership, customers will be able to buy the MegaBit Gear TE4412V2 VoIP-enabled broadband
router on the Sumitomo Electric Networks website (http://www.megabitgear.com/direct)
or at convenience stores such as Lawson and use the FUSION IP-Phone service by subscribing to FUSION
GOL for Internet connection services and applying for the FUSION IP-Phone service.
Customers who have already purchased the MegaBit Gear TE4412V2 can download a free firmware updater
from the Sumitomo Electric Networks website to make the router compatible with FUSION IP-Phone. This
broadband router is a low-cost model with two telephone ports, making it convenient not only for home
users but for small office/home office (SOHO) users as well, allowing two telephones to be used simultaneously
on a single FUSION IP-Phone contract.
Through their alliance, Sumitomo Electric Networks and Fusion plan to work together to develop and sell
products compatible with FUSION IP-Phone to expand the FUSION IP-Phone service for individual users.
