Fusion Offers Dedicated-line ISDN and Dedicated-line IP Telephone Calls to Mobile Phones

Fusion Communications Corporation provides a telephone service that allows calls to be made from dedicated-line ISDN and dedicated-line IP telephones to mobile phones in Japan through its international relay system (*1). Using the price-setting rights recently acquired by dedicated-line service carriers, Fusion will begin providing this service directly through interconnections with mobile phone operator exchanges in Japan (*2) at a lower rate than through its international relay system. Charges for the phone service, which starts on December 15, will be 18 yen per minute.

When using Fusion's international relay system, it is necessary to dial a mobile phone number by making an international call, but with the start of the new service, customers using dedicated-line ISDN and dedicated-line IP telephones can dial directly, starting with the 090 (or 080) prefix of the mobile phone number in Japan.

For more details regarding the service, please refer to the attached information.

(*1) International Relay System
With "Japan mobile" added to the available call destinations, FUSION IP-Phone is able to offer international telephone service calls to mobile phones in Japan through an international relay. Dialing follows the international dialing convention: 010-81-90 (or 80)-AAAA-XXXX.

(*2) Interconnections with Mobile Phone Operator Exchanges
This is a method for providing telephone service to mobile phones in Japan by connecting directly to the exchanges of mobile phone operators in Japan, made possible by IP telephone service carriers having the right to set prices. Dialing can be done directly to a mobile phone number: 090 (or 080)-AAAA-XXXX.
