Fusion Partners with Mobile Technika in IP Phone Gateways for Enterprises
The "xCube" Integrated Access Gateway is Now Compatible with FUSION IP-Phone
Fusion Communications Corporation has entered into a device partnership with Mobile Technika for FUSION IP-Phone, Fusion's IP subscriber telephone service. By late December 2005, the xCube ("cross-Cube") gateway produced by Mobile Technika will be compatible with Fusion's IP subscriber telephone service, FUSION IP-Phone. Customers who use the xCube will now be able to make outgoing calls through FUSION IP-Phone.
The xCube, produced by Mobile Technika, is an integrated access gateway that enables up to 50 user connections through a single unit. Moreover, it is available at an amazingly low price, making it ideal for small-and medium-sized enterprise offices or SOHO arrangements. A setup wizard and automatic firmware updating make setup quick and easy without requiring a person in the office to have technical knowledge.
The gateway is compatible with a wide variety of telephone terminals, including analog phones and IP telephone terminals, both fixed and mobile (DoCoMo N900iL)*, and softphones*. It also offers fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) functionality. In addition to using FUSION IP-Phone as a connection line, standard analog phone and ISDN networks are also supported.
This partnership enables enterprises to build a highly effective IP phone system easily and at low cost. Through the tie-up both Fusion and Mobile Technika plan to work together to expand the FUSION IP-Phone service.
* Scheduled to become available for the DoCoMo N900iL and softphone in the near future.
